Clara joins as an Counseling Intern under the supervision of La Junta “Micki” Rios.
Clara brings to The Well a wealth of experience in school counseling, special education, and a background in criminal justice studies. Clara will be working with all age groups.

Clara Eaglin is a School Counselor working towards getting the necessary experience to sit for her License Professional Counselor certificate. She comes to the Well with 24 years, experience in the Education field. Eight (8) years as a Special Education teacher working with Emotionally Disturbed students. Four (4) years as a High School Counselor and twelve (12) years as a Junior high counselor.
Clara has a bachelor’s degree Public Affairs with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Texas Southern University and a master’s degree in counseling from Prairie View A&M university.
Clara is committed to her students and eager to help them make positive decisions. Clara will bring this same energy to the center. She will be working with all age groups to help the clients with techniques to use for making healthier choices when dealing with stress, anxiety, self -injurious behavior and suicidal behavior.
In addition to her position as a school counselor, Clara is also a mother and wife. Clara has been married for twenty-seven years to Leon Eaglin. Together, they have a son named Xavier and he plays basketball Internationally on a professional level. Clara also has a stepdaughter named Angel (Clint) who has blessed them with four grandchildren.
