Brandon Thomas is a doctoral candidate at Texas Southern University with a specialization in child and family development. His research focuses on the intersection of race, mental health, and identity-based bullying, particularly how these factors influence the academic achievement of African American youth.

Brandon brings a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens to his counseling work, drawing from both academic insight and practical experience. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution- focused counseling techniques to support children, adolescents, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges.

His goal is to create safe, affirming spaces where clients feel empowered to develop resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth. Brandon is committed to promoting wellness and equity through compassionate, evidence-based care.
